LocationBiscarrosse is located in the north-west of the Landes region in France, just a few kilometres from the Gironde region and the Bay of Arcachon.
Covering 19,308 hectares, the commune offers its inhabitants an outstanding quality of life, in particular with 13,000 hectares of forestland and 3,200 hectares of lake-land. Water is omnipresent in the landscape and is a major asset.

Biscarrosse-Ville (town) houses almost 10,000 residents and is the administrative and commercial centre at the heart of the community’s dynamism. 9km from the town centre is Biscarrosse-Plage (beach) on the edge of the dune line (around 1,500 full-time inhabitants). A renowned seaside resort, the beach area is also very much appreciated during the winter for its seaside promenades. Biscarrosse Lac lies on the edge of the North lake, 7km from the town centre and is made up of residential hamlets, harbouring the ports of Maguide and Navarrosse, as well as the golf course and more recently the Pierre & Vacances resort (around 1,500 inhabitants).
